Out From the Shadows
The Lovers Lane Foundation and our Visual Arts Committee present “Out From The Shadows,” a multimedia compilation of artwork by the ArtReach Gallery Committee Members. “Out From The Shadows” allows the behind-the-scenes artists and honored guests the opportunity to display their work and therefore, come “out from the shadows” and into the forefront in order to highlight their skills and talents. Enjoy this variety of oil and acrylic paintings, photography, calligraphic art, mosaics, and edible art, now through September 8, 2022. A special section of the exhibit is dedicated in loving memory of Linda Ortman, who passed away in April of 2021. Linda, an excellent artist, and a former member and chair of the ArtReach Committee, will have several pieces displayed. We express our gratitude to her family for providing artwork for this exhibit.
All are welcome to attend a reception for those exhibiting in the gallery on Sunday, August 14, from noon to 1:30 pm in Watson Hall. The reception will follow the 3 LLUMC Worship services offered from 11 am to noon. Refreshments will be provided. This is an opportunity to meet the artists and fellowship with all congregations and guests.
Artreach Gallery
The ArtReach Gallery graces the walls of Watson Hall at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and is the work of the Visual Arts Committee of LLUMC and is sponsored by the Lovers Lane Foundation. All artwork is for sale unless otherwise indicated. Purchase prices are shown on the title cards on display in Watson Hall. A portion (25%) of all sale proceeds benefits the Visual Arts Endowment Fund of the Lovers Lane Foundation. To purchase a piece of art, contact Paul Ditto at 214-706-9561 or email ArtReach@llumc.org.
Visual Arts Committee
We are always looking for artists or individuals with an interest in art to serve on our Visual Arts Committee. Let us know if you would be interested — we would love to talk to you about it! Serving on this committee is a great way to serve the art community and Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and its Foundation. You do not need to be an artist and you do not need to be a member of LLUMC to serve on the Visual Arts Committee.
