New Light
“New Light” is a collection of paintings that are meant to uplift and inspire. The show consists of a mix of Biblically-themed works. These range from the depiction of beloved Bible stories, to contemporary takes on Bible subjects, featuring paintings that are more symbolic in nature, drawing from the artist’s own experience. Throughout, you’ll notice that all the works convey a sense of light, meant to symbolize God as the only true power and presence in every case. Several of the paintings imitate stained-glass, giving the work a prismatic feel fitting for the subject.

Visual Arts Committee
We are always looking for artists or individuals with an interest in art to serve on our Visual Arts Committee. Let us know if you would be interested — we would love to talk to you about it! Serving on this committee is a great way to serve the art community and Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and its Foundation. You do not need to be an artist and you do not need to be a member of LLUMC to serve on the Visual Arts Committee.
