Artists’ Statement: The paintings in this exhibit reflect our interpretation of the restorative quality of nature in our lives. Taking time out from our day-to-day activities to observe the miracles in nature that are all around us provides much needed calmness and reminds us to be grateful for the beauty we find in nature; beauty that provides moments of peace in our busy lives.
Donna Chambers
Donna creates with pastels because they present a full spectrum of hues, values of lights and darks, as well as the ability to utilize a variety of textures and strokes. Her work has been in juried shows in Indiana, Michigan, and Texas. Donna is the director and gallerist of the Art Gallery at fILTER(ed), a coffee and culture shop in McKinney, Texas. She is the current vice president of the Richardson Civic Art Society, Richardson, Texas.
Elaine Jary
Elaine loved drawing since she was a small child and holds a BA in Graphic Communication. She wound up working in administration and marketing for years until she discovered her renewed love for creativity through watercolors. Her work has been featured in numerous juried shows, where she has earned Best in Show and 1st and 2nd place awards.

The ArtReach Gallery graces the walls of Watson Hall at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and is the work of the Visual Arts Committee of LLUMC and is sponsored by the Lovers Lane Foundation. All artwork is for sale unless otherwise indicated. Purchase prices are available upon request. A portion (25%) of all sale proceeds benefits the Lovers Lane Foundation.
