Jean McIntosh’s work captures the intersection between the physical and spiritual. She focuses mostly on reflections and refractions of light in water. By the combination of color, texture and surface pattern, she expresses her inner spirit. The art of being present in the moment determines her every step. Beauty, motion, collections and autobiographical experiences are popular themes. Jean received her M.F. A. from Texas Woman’s University. She is in the permanent collections of Mountain View Community College, Brookhaven Community College and the New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans, Louisiana.
The ArtReach Gallery graces the walls of Watson Hall at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church and is the work of the Visual Arts Committee of LLUMC and is sponsored by the Lovers Lane Foundation.
